URGENT: HELP POLICE FIND HIM: Dog later found abandoned and badly hurt.
Longmont, Colorado – Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man seen walking a dog who was later found abandoned with a devastating head injury.
The dog is Starry. She was found in a Longmont homeowner’s backyard with pajama pants wrapped around her head and a severe wound that extended all the way to her skull. Starry underwent surgery and reconstruction. The new recovery photo shows her wearing a blue recovery pillow around her neck as she continues to heal.
Police want to speak with the man seen in the surveillance image walking Starry. Investigators have not publicly identified him as a suspect, and the image alone does not establish what happened to Starry. But police are asking anyone who recognizes him or has information that could help the investigation to come forward.
Starry survived. Now she deserves answers. She needs our help!
