I Don’t Care About Cats Or Traps Or Anything? Now a new perspective emerges in Jacksonville’s viral feral cat controversy
Jacksonville, Florida – The video sparked outrage across social media after a mobile home community owner was recorded making comments about feral cats that many viewers found disturbing.
Last night on Making Noise for the Animals at 8:30 PM Central, I spoke directly with the Director of Jacksonville Animal Care Services about the situation. According to the director, the comments captured in the viral video do not reflect the property owner’s true feelings toward the cats. He said the owner had reached a breaking point after dealing with ongoing issues and alleged threats, and that the video captured him during a moment of extreme frustration.
The director also discussed efforts being made to address the feral cat situation and reduce tensions within the community.
This, as all cats are reported to be safe while this continues to be a polarizing issue for cat lovers involved in this situation.
