What police say happened in Largo, Florida: • 11 dogs abandoned in Taylor Park, nine puppies stuffed inside a storage container • Parvovirus outbreak after alleged illegal breeding of purebred Shiba Inus • One puppy, Frosty, died with injuries consistent with blunt force trauma • Mary Ann Halahuni Gamble (42) and Fred Gamble (43) arrested • 12 felony animal cruelty counts each and the investigation is ongoing Police say the suspects allegedly knew puppies were sick and dying and dumped them anyway. Four puppies were still in critical condition during treatment. Parvo treatment runs $3,000 per dog minimum. This wasn’t neglect. This was a choice.
