(Original Air Date: October, 2025)
Dallas, Texas – Turkessa Blackmon finds herself in a Dallas courtroom this morning to see what will happen with the electronic monitoring bracelet.
Blackmon is accused of hitting Rocky, the stray, as many as 15 times (according to the probably cause affidavit) with a metal bat on Oct. 11, 2025, after reportedly spraying him with bug spray. The affidavit states Rocky showed no aggression, even in a submissive stance.
Neighbors recorded everything on their phone.
Rocky survived, was found days later, and is now safe in a forever home.
Being able to cover that chapter of the story went from horrifying to gratitude that Rocky found his forever home.
And now, Blackmon’s case continues to wind its way through the court system.
Blackmon faces a 3rd-degree felony, punishable by 2–10 years.
Todd Stephen Smith will be at court and have the latest.
