Calls for accountability grow after troubling shelter reports
Fairfield County, South Carolina – Animal advocates are pushing for answers after volunteers say they were shut out of the county shelter shortly after raising concerns about alleged abuse inside the facility. The Voice of Blythewood & Fairfield County reports deputies responded after inmate workers were reportedly seen spraying dogs and allegedly trying to provoke fights. One dog was later found dead with puncture wounds, while another was reportedly found alive with similar injuries. ![]()
