The situation is getting worse for Blue the pittie as well as the reporting party who has documented not only the owner’s violations of state law when it comes to tethering dogs and continuous food, water, and shelter. I’m told the city has threatened the reporting party that they could be brought up on criminal charges for posting the videos of Blue. WRONG!
Officials also released the name of the reporting party to the owner and that action alone could have put the reporting party in danger and they have since put up surveillance cameras not just for their safety but also for their dogs. WRONG.
Blue’s owner has also put up a surveillance camera.
People are also recounting all of their interactions with animal control and the consensus I’ve read says animal control needs to be overhauled and ACO’s need to remember, they’re there for the animal and NOT the human.
Also – remember the seat belt that the City said was a combination of a tether and Blue’s leash? LIE. NOT THE CASE. You can see it clearly in the picture.
