Earlier this week, we told you the story of “Blue,” a beautiful pittie in Bryan, Texas. A neighbor documented Blue’s miserable existence for nearly his entire life. We posted the video after getting the runaround from the animal control officer who was more concerned that I had her cell phone and the fact that she was at lunch… than the case of Blue outside freezing in the wintry weather. That night, Blue spent the night inside for the first time in a long time. Then yesterday, the city made a post that “we are all on the same page when it comes to animal welfare and we want to reassure you that we are not turning a blind eye to this situation or any other animal issue.” This, of course, comes after they have visited this man and Blue 13 times because they believe in education and not citations. 13 times? There’s documented evidence you could use as evidence to give poor Blue to a loving home where a person doesn’t have to be taught AT ALL how to treat a dog, also known as their 4-legged family member.

The City’s attempt to spin the narrative here once we released the video was painful to read and see.

Bottom line? Animal advocates were responsible for Blue having his first night in the house.

Also? Yesterday, Blue spent hours outside tethered with no continuous food, water or shelter. If you head over there now, you’ll find him in the same condition. The video taken from this afternoon is included in this video.
I invite you, once again, City of Bryan and animal control to have a thoughtful discussion on why animal control nearly failed Blue and that, sadly, could be an unfortunate reality if you keep on having to give the owner lessons. Time to get out your citation book. You don’t want to make waves with the guy? Too bad. That’s your job. CARE ABOUT THE ANIMAL. NOT THE BS THAT COMES ALONG WITH THE HUMAN AGENDA. And that human

agenda includes ANYONE that has anything to do with this story.

First – we have received word of who the person is and their address but at this time, we have given it to the Memphis Police Department for THEM to confirm and arrest.

Before we got the info, police told us they’re working the case.

Also, we have confirmed it happened at the South Lauderdale St. pedestrian bridge – not Crump Avenue as local news reported.
