Hurt, Helpless, Abandoned!
Boardman, Ohio – We first showed you the horrific video back in December of 2025. Since that time animal advocates in Poland Township, Ohio and beyond have been searching for the individual caught on camera dumping a French bulldog behind Every Dog Matters Rescue in freezing weather.
According to the Mahoning County Dog Warden, Egypt was found severely injured after being left outside for about 10 hours. Officials said security footage showed a man placing a cage behind the rescue around 10:30 p.m., covering it with a cloth, and driving away.
By the time Egypt was discovered, her condition was heartbreaking. The Dog Warden said she was believed to have been hit by a vehicle weeks earlier, and the infection from her injuries had reportedly spread so badly that she had to be euthanized.
But then within the last few days, the word we were all waiting to hear.
Now, court records show Timothy Lee Washington is facing a Mahoning County
Common Pleas case connected to companion-animal cruelty and abandoned-animal charges. The case is listed as open, with a pretrial scheduled for July 8th, 2026, and a jury trial scheduled for August 10th, 2026, before Judge John M. Durkin.

This is why animal advocates keep sharing these stories. Egypt cannot speak for herself, but the community can make sure what happened to her is not forgotten.
