Rest in Peace, K9 Apollo

El Dorado County, California – The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of K9 Apollo, a six-year-old purebred German Shepherd from the Czech Republic who passed away on April 16th after a sudden medical emergency following an exercise session at home.

Apollo served alongside Deputy Hellam since he was just 10 months old, trained in handler protection and narcotics detection.

He was surrounded by his family and fellow officers when he passed.
