Sarasota, Florida — Andrew Nibley was walking his two rescue dogs at sunset when two unleashed dogs rushed them without warning. His English Setter, Diana, was killed in the attack, while his smaller dog Chauncey survived despite being bitten while trying to protect her. Deputies say one of the attacking dogs was shot when it would not stop, and the owner later chose euthanasia. ![]()

Now the question neighbors are asking is simple: why are there no charges against the owner of the aggressive dogs? Nibley and his wife say they are speaking out to protect others, because leashes, control, and accountability are what keep both people and pets safe. Evening walks should not end in tragedy. ![]()
